The installation FORMS AND SYMBOLS asks about the prerequisites for visual systems that can convey knowledge. For the site-specific installation, drawings are read as semiotic signs. Jahna Dahms designs a system of interpretation for reading line, structure, format and composition. 82 drawings were projected alternately onto a floor drawing measuring 8 x 12 meters, system plates and analysis points. FORMS AND SYMBOLS is dedicated to the structural imprecision of sensual insight.
